Caswell Daitch Architects

Our little firm was founded in 1992 by Julia Caswell Daitch, and since that time it has completed many projects in the mid-Atlantic region. In 1995 the National Association of the Remodeling Industry awarded us best renovation-specialty remodeling for the Southeast USA. Since that time we have been published in the Washington Post, Better Homes and Gardens, and Fine Homebuilding. Throughout the years a mantra has developed within our design style; to create personal sanctuaries as an expression of self.

At Caswell Daitch Architects we believe that Architecture is much more than building. As Frank Lloyd Wright once said “I believe a house is more a home by being a work of art.” It is this artful shaping of space, not merely the materialization of a structure, that we pride ourselves in. We believe that good architecture has the potential to lighten our environment and better our lives. Our attention to detail allows us to create homes that are both personal sanctuaries and a reflection of the client upon the world.
